What You'll Do

• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Operate and maintain mobile baler as well as additional processing equipment such as cranes, loaders to assist with on-site recycling operations
• Loading truck may require: securing chains across the width of a trailer to secure the product, both on the bed of a trailer and in an overhead rack, tarping of loads on trailers, and dropping and hooking a trailer
• Transport Scrap materials safely and efficiently to designated processing facilities and client sites
• Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours
• Ability to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order
• Perform additional duties as needed

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required
• No DUI or DWI (within the last 5 years)
• No violation for speeding excessively, 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in previous 3 years
• No on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC Logistics
• Pass required D.O.T. and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by D.O.T.
• Driver must be knowledgeable in D.O.T. Regulations/Requirements
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday; which may include some overtime
• Frequent physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs/ladders, works with chains, drops and hooks trailers, performs inspections and reaches to work with equipment throughout the entire shift
• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs
• Work well with team members or independently; give and receive feedback in a constructive manner
• Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges
• Builds strong relationships by actively listening and responding to client needs
• Excels at managing tasks and responsibilities without constant supervision

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
