Unit Specifics: Medical Oncology

· Number of Beds : 33

· Patient Ratios : 1:6

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Unit secretary on unit from 7 AM -11P

3 CNAs for 33 patients; Charge RN each shift; Clinical Manager and Director

· Type of equipment : Electronic white boards, iPhones with iMobile; remote telemetry

· Documentation system: Meditech

· Scheduling requirements: 36 hours and every other weekend as needed

· Floating policy: Travelers are first to float

· Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounds on day shift; 2 hour rounds after 9 pm

· Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH required
