The Accountant at Xendoo has a working knowledge of accounting, and accounting software, and operates from the details. You understand financial statements and are open and ready to learn more. You are solution-focused and are not afraid to ask for help. You are drawn to technology to make your life better and you embrace change. You enjoy speaking with customers, bringing them insights into their financials to improve their business, and proactively communicating to prevent issues.

In a nutshell:

• Has a base level of accounting knowledge and has performed bookkeeping, month-end close and reconciliations, journal entries, A/P and A/R
• Understand financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, and more
• Has used accounting software for bookkeeping, reconciliations, and journal entries and has some technical knowledge of the software
• Is detailed – understands the how and the why, and will dig deeper to get to the answer
• Collaborative – enjoys working as a team
• Confident – believes in their ability, and knowledge, while knowing their strengths
• Cares deeply about others
• Has great work ethic and understands their impact on others
• Cares about the success of small businesses and understands the journey and struggles of small business owners
• Can communicate effectively in writing and verbally for understanding
• Lifelong learner

Must Haves:

• Possesses a strong work ethic
• A BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
• At least 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Worked with QBO, Xero, Sage, or another accounting software
• Great communication skills – both verbal and written
• Can confidently discuss financial reports with customers
• Is detailed and organized
• Loves to learn and has a desire for growth
• Respects and follows process
• Is not afraid to ask for help and is willing to help others
