Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking highly motivated Mechanical/Piping Engineers to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) at our offices in Tampa, FL.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Perform Digital Project Delivery of Mechanical and Piping Engineering functions within multi-disciplinary teams across established and emerging industries and markets.
- Assist project team in understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, execution strategy, cost, and schedule
- Support site field visits to obtain information and data to support projects.
- Support equipment identification and selection activities, including sizing, layout, technical specifications, and vendor information reviews.
- Support piping system design activities, such as hydraulic analysis, piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development, material specification development, stress analysis, and layout.
- Support population of information and attributes into the data-centric project environment
- Interface with vendors throughout the design and procurement process
- Support direct interface with the client throughout the project duration
- Participate in HAZOP reviews
- Assist in resolution of engineering issues during Project lifecycle, including planning phase, design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning
- Promote and maintain the application of ethical and professional practices in the execution of engineering work
- Adhere to and promote the Hatch corporate safety culture.
You bring to the role:
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university
- Approximately 2 to 7 years of engineering experience
- Strong deliverable focus, ability to plan you work
- Ability to learn and understanding inter-discipline dependencies related to the Mechanical and Piping Engineering functions
- Exposure to procurement, contracting and commissioning methodologies
- Sound knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the Project
- Well-developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Professional Engineer license or Engineer-In-Training status is preferred
- Site experience in a technical role is preferred.
