This is a full-time Faculty (FAC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College's District Board of Trustees.
What you will be doing
* Facilitates teaching/learning in the classroom, laboratory and clinical settings
* Evaluates students and performs career and academic advising
* Participates in School of Nursing and College affairs
* Participates in curriculum development and revision that stress innovation and multicultural emphasis
* Participates in departmental recruiting and retention activities
* Serves on committees
* Prepares and submits student data to Department Chairperson
* Teaches both day, evening and weekend classes as needed
* Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
* Masters degree with Nursing major; and valid Florida License to Practice Nursing; and 2 Years Equivalent FT Clinical Practice experience as a Registered Nurse.
* All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
* Theoretical and clinical expertise in medical-surgical nursing is required with additional ability to teach psychiatric or obstetric nursing preferred
* Ability to use technological tools in instruction, and familiarity with active, collaborative and student-centered techniques
* Preference will be given to applicants with prior teaching experience in field
* Possess excellent communication skills
* Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff
* Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
* Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
* Start date for this Faculty position is scheduled on or before Spring Semester 2026
* Doctoral Stipend awarded in addition to base pay, as applicable
