Assistant Director of Facilities and Construction

Position Title: Assistant Director of Facilities and Construction.

Work Arrangement: On-site.

Location: Miami Gardens, FL.

Duration: Temporary role with potential for full-time conversion.

Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent).

Pay rate: $48.00 - $55.00.

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

Required Skills / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and financial responsibilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Certification in facilities management or project management (e.g., PMP, FMP) is a plus.

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

• Manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery.
• Plan and implement maintenance programs for efficient facility operations.
• Develop and oversee budgets for facilities and construction activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors, ensuring quality and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and codes.
• Support strategic planning for facility development and space management.
• Lead and develop facilities and construction teams.
• Integrate sustainability practices to minimize environmental impact.
• Prepare reports on project status and facility conditions for management review.
