Project Estimator -Commercial Construction

Job description:

As the Lead Project Estimator, youll oversee the end-to-end estimating process for landscape, irrigation, and hardscape construction projects. This role requires a sharp analytical eye, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure projects are accurately estimated and executed smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project scopes and review specifications to determine precise requirements.
• Identify materials and labor needs, obtaining subcontractor bids and proposals.
• Resolve any plan discrepancies and ensure timely completion of estimates.
• Prepare and present cost evaluations and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Present and successfully sell projects.
• Maintain and update project cost data for continuous improvement and future reference.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and attend client meetings to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Present proposals confidently to clients, managing follow-up communications to close sales.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in construction estimating, ideally within landscape, irrigation, or hardscape projects.
• Sales experience must have.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Knowledgeable in plant materials, irrigation systems, and hardscape features.
• Associate or Bachelors degree in construction management, landscape architecture, or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present estimates and proposals effectively.
