Line Cook
Pelican Golf Club is looking for quality Line Cooks to support our distinguished team of chefs. Line Cooks report to the new executive chef and sous chef.
Our kitchens deliver the highest quality meals and sensory experiences to the area's most exclusive clientele.
We pride ourselves on our seasonal menus and chefs who develop new and innovative meals.
Our Line Cooks are the foundation that our kitchens are built on.
We are looking for hard-working team players who can consistently deliver quality products.
Because our seasonal menus are constantly evolving, our Line Cooks are always growing, learning, and perfecting their craft.

Experience Preferred:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience working in a food production facility, fast-paced restaurant etc.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
- Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Food Safety certification.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets up station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines.
- Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the chef or restaurant.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift and is responsible in taking inventory after service.
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef, and Sous Chef at any time.
- A thorough and deep understanding of professional cooking including basic techniques and working food knowledge.
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
- Previous prep or line cook experience.
- Professional communications skills are required.
Physical Demands and Work Environments:
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
