International Tax Principal - Raleigh, North Carolina or Fully Remote!

We here at International Tax Search are currently working with one of the leading Southeast based Middle-market firms in North Carolina. They are searching for an International Tax Senior Manager/Director; with a mix of Private Client and Corporate experience to act as an International Tax Principal within the firm.

This firms International Tax department is recently formed and is closely aligned with the consulting and tax teams. The ideal candidate will help the firm formulate the structure of this practice going forward to meet their client needs.

This senior leadership role requires experience with structuring, tax planning, voluntary compliance procedures, foreign investment reporting, treaty-based positions, anti-deferral regimes, and inbound/outbound transactions.

You will need to demonstrate confidence and understanding of technical and practical issues associated with International Tax consulting and compliance for both corporate and individual tax clients, possess deep technical International Tax knowledge and remain up to date on pertinent tax legislation and its impact on both taxpayers and the firm.

You will demonstrate a willingness to train staff accountants and build a successful International Tax practice, liaise with partners to provide practical solutions for International Tax matters, coordinate responses to IRS notices associated with International Tax audits, engage in technical research and writing on International Tax issues.

Our client is specifically interested in speaking with candidates who have a bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in accounting a minimum of 8 years of recent public accounting experience, with a focus in international taxation.

You will need to have previous experience leading or managing an International Tax practice, CPA certified, JD/LLM or equivalent. As well as experience with providing timely and exceptional client service to a portfolio of international Tax clients and prospects, including coordination of global cross functional teams from start to finish.
