Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Location: Bradenton, FL 34203

Duration: 12+ Months (with possible extension)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and oral hygiene services in collaboration with the dentist, contributing to a positive and efficient dental office environment. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and infection control.

• Collaborate with the dentist to deliver comprehensive oral health care.

• Perform oral hygiene treatments and provide preventive care in accordance with state guidelines.

• Operate Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) equipment as required.

• Remove calculus, stains, and plaque from above and below the gum line.

• Apply fluoride and sealants to protect teeth.

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and disease prevention.

• Record and update patient medical and dental histories accurately.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

• Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies when needed.

• Contribute to team goals by performing additional related duties as assigned.

• Clinical setting with exposure to dental and medical equipment.

• Requires use of gloves, masks, eyewear, and protective clothing.

• Involves regular interaction with patients, dentists, and team members.

• Must adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

• Frequent talking, hearing, and use of hands for dental instruments.

• Occasional lifting or moving of objects up to 25 lbs.

• Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens, requiring OSHA training.

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a Dental Hygienist.

• Proficiency in GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) equipment operation preferred.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program.

• Active Dental Hygienist License (State of Florida).

• Current CPR Certification.
