Service Plumber
Job Summary:
The Service Plumber is responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services to residential and commercial clients, including accurate diagnostics, efficient repairs, and exceptional customer service.
This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently in the field. The Service Plumber will troubleshoot plumbing issues, perform installations, conduct maintenance, and educate customers on solutions and preventive care while upholding company standards and industry best practices.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
- Perform service repairs and installations involving copper, PVC, CPVC, cast iron, sanitary systems, venting, and fixture replacements.
- Complete rough-in work, second roughs, tub sets (cast iron & steel), shower pan installations, and core drilling as required.
- Accurately measure, cut, solder, and assemble plumbing materials in compliance with current plumbing codes.
- Perform digging, layout, proper strapping, support of stub-outs, and sealing of openings for safety and rodent prevention.
- Conduct testing of completed work to ensure proper function and code compliance.
- Provide clear communication to customers regarding findings, recommendations, and service options.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and job notes.
- Ensure thorough clean-up of work areas upon job completion.
- Utilize tools, equipment, and field service technology efficiently and safely.
- Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
- Perform problem-solving and troubleshooting for complex plumbing issues.
- Perform any reasonable job or task assigned by supervisor or management.

- Proficient with mobile field service software and related technology.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements:
During a 10-hour workday, must be able to:
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Stand, kneel, bend, climb, squat, and reach above shoulder for extended periods.
- Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulations.
- Perform continuous manual digging and trenching for extended periods during a 10-hour workday.
- Safely climb ladders up to 12 feet and work at elevated heights when required.
Work Environment
- Field-based position with regular travel to customer locations.
- Safely navigate uneven surfaces
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed for emergency services or testing schedules.
- Work in confined spaces and at varying heights as required by the job.
- Work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, etc.)
