Civil Engineer
We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer with land development experience to join a growing engineering team in Orlando, FL. This full-time, in-office role is ideal for a professional with at least two years of experience in civil site design who is looking to expand technical expertise and take on increasing project responsibility.
This position offers hands-on involvement in residential, commercial, industrial, and resort-style development projects throughout the Central Florida region. The Civil Engineer will play a key role in utility design, grading and drainage planning, and coordination with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design water distribution, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management systems for land development projects
- Prepare detailed grading and drainage plans , including ICPR 4 stormwater modeling
- Support site development for residential subdivisions, commercial centers, industrial facilities, and resort properties
- Coordinate with local municipalities, permitting agencies, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with Florida standards
- Provide technical guidance to CAD designers and junior staff on site development assignments
- Manage multiple active projects while maintaining schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, consultants, and internal project teams
- Assist with preparation of engineering reports, technical documentation, and project presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent civil design experience
- Minimum 2+ years of civil engineering or civil site design experience
- Experience with grading, drainage design, and stormwater management systems
- Proficiency in ICPR 4 modeling
- Strong understanding of land development design principles and permitting processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and confident client interaction abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD / Civil 3D
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (preferred but not required)
Position Details
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts
- Overtime opportunities available
- In-person role based in Orlando, FL (reliable commute or relocation required)
