Dental Hygienist

We are a private-practice General Dentistry office, located in the family oriented and growing neighborhood of Wellington, FL, and we are looking for a Dental Hygienist. The practice was originally opened in 2005. We are seeking a Dental Hygienist who is passionate about taking great care of their patients. We are looking for a nice, friendly, caring, helpful, and hard-working individual to join our close-knit team. Our office is comprised of team-players who help each other out whenever help is needed throughout the day in order to provide our patients with the highest level of care possible while also maintaining a happy, healthy, and positive work place for all who work here. We take pride in our honesty, integrity, and the level of concern we show for each other and for our patients.

Dental Hygienist Responsibilities: 

• Effective, efficient, and comfortable removal of dental plaque and calculus
• Periodontal probing and Scaling and Root Planing for patients with periodontal disease
• Turning over the hygiene room and sterilization of hygiene instruments
• Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene and able to educate patients on what areas of dental concern exist in their mouth and what treatment may be needed to address the concerns
• Apply fluoride varnish and place sealants
• Take digital X-rays
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient

Helpful skills to have: 

• Taking intraoral pictures
• Utilizing an iTero intraoral scanner
• Able to use Dentrix
• Willing to learn and develop these skills if one does not already possess them

Job Type: Full time.

Compensation: Starting from $42 per hour

Schedule: 

• Monday to Thursday 8AM-5PM 
• No Weekends
• You will not be told that you need to go home and clock out whenever a patient reschedules, cancels, or no-shows, as we value your ability to help out the team around the office in other ways than just seeing patients

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 1 year working as a Dental Hygienist
• License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist 
• Must be a team player
