Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our dynamic food service team. As a vital member of our restaurant, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive service, sharing menu knowledge, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. Your enthusiasm for food, hospitality, and customer care will help create memorable dining moments for our guests. - Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise entry.
- Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including daily specials and wine pairings, to enhance guest experience.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and beverages to maximize sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms.
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with food preparation or bussing tables during busy periods to support the team’s workflow.
- Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, prompt problem resolution, and personalized interactions.
- Support the restaurant’s overall cleanliness by bussing tables promptly and maintaining a tidy dining area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures in the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Proven ability in upselling and sales techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and order calculations.
- Knowledge of culinary terminology or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and hospitality standards.
- Must speak English.
