Staff Accountant
Description
As a Staff Accountant at Island Hospitality Management, you will be responsible for the management of the P&L statements and overall accounting activities of the company's portfolio.
This position is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Prepare and review hotel P&L's monthly
- Prepare monthly accruals
- Perform account analysis
- Research and correct accounting discrepancies
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and provide supporting schedules
- Prepare and adjust journal entries in JD Edwards
- Meet month, quarter, and year-end closing deadlines
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Two Years of Experience in Accounting Microsoft Office Suite Experience Required
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written
- JD Edwards Accounting Software a plus.
- Prepare and adjust journal entries
- Knowledge of posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
- Ability to meet month, quarter, and year-end closing deadlines
- Ability to research and correct account discrepancies
- Ability to reconcile and balance general ledger accounts and provide supporting schedules
