Accounts Receivable Clerk
Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable ledger, processing incoming payments, reconciling invoices, and ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions related to accounts receivable.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies if any.
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve billing and customer credit issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions and communications related to accounts receivable.
- Generate financial reports summarizing accounts receivable status.
- Validate sales tax exemptions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Netsuite knowledge a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to cover other accounting positions as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or coursework in accounting or related field.
