Junior Accountant
Muschlitz Excavating LLC, a leader in the Construction Industry, is looking to hire a Junior Accountant to work on the Finance & Accounting team as a full-time, salaried position.

As we expand, we are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team and grow with us.Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and initiative-taking individual with at least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to expand their skill set in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will begin by focusing on accounts payable (AP) but will gradually take on responsibilities in accounts receivable (AR), cash management, and broader accounting functions. The position comes with a three-month paid probationary period.Key Responsibilities (will be assigned gradually):
- Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders and delivery tickets, and ensure timely and proper approvals
- Assist with vendor communications and reconciliations
- Support monthly close activities
- Assist with AR functions, including customer invoicing and collections
- Participate in bank reconciliations
- Help maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements
- Take initiative in learning new systems, procedures, and expanding responsibilities
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (industry experience not required)
- Proficiency in Excel and some experience with accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to professional growth
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Be even-tempered and have a positive attitude
- Valid driver’s license
