POSITION: Food and Beverage Captain (Assistant Manager) – Gianni’s Restaurant About the Position
Gianni’s at The Villa Casa Casuarina is seeking a professional and service driven Captain to join our restaurant team. The Captain plays a key leadership role on the floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while supporting servers and coordinating smooth service operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the service team during daily operations
- Ensure all guests receive attentive, professional, and personalized service
- Works closely with other departments ensuring communication flows effectively
- Develops new and maintains repeat business through effective guest relations
- Assist with table service when needed and monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience
- Handle guest requests, questions, and concerns in a professional manner and with excellent customer service
- Ensure proper setup and cleanliness of the dining room before, during, and after service
- Support training and development of service staff
- Regularly ensure all employees are well groomed and in the correct uniform
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, wine list, and restaurant standards
- Previous experience as a Captain, Lead Server, or similar supervisory role in an upscale or fine dining restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and hospitality mindset
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of food, wine, and service standards preferred
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Stable full-time schedule.
