We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager with experience in transportation and logistics sales to build and grow a book of business from the ground up.
This is a true hunter role focused on new business development. You will have the autonomy to target and develop your own accounts, along with the operational support needed to successfully execute and grow long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, develop, and close new shipper relationships across multiple industries
- Sell transportation and logistics solutions including flatbed, brokerage, and specialized freight
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close
- Build and execute a strategic sales plan within your assigned region
- Partner with account management to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client success
- Maintain and grow relationships by identifying additional opportunities within accounts
- Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and performance through CRM
- Deliver professional and effective sales presentations

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of transportation or logistics sales experience
- Proven ability to prospect, close, and grow accounts
- Experience selling freight (flatbed, brokerage, LTL/FTL, or specialized)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Competitive, results-driven mindset
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
- Experience using CRM systems
