What is the role?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of US Operations to establish and lead our Operations function in the US. In this strategic role you will focus on business partnering and working closely with international COOs and global heads of process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, transformation, and project delivery, and be able to demonstrate tangible results. They will work collaboratively with peers to drive operational excellence across Howden.
What will you be doing?
- Collaborating with international COOs and global heads of process to align operational strategies with business objectives.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for operational initiatives.
- Implementing our Target Operating Model, embedding minimum standards across Howden.
- Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitoring and analysing operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Leading initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency, aligning with Howdens location strategy.
- Engaging with client COOs on an international level to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.
- Identifying and driving process improvements across global operations.
- Overseeing and managing specific projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in senior leadership across operations management.
- You will need to have a background in the Insurance sector with the knowledge of industry best practices and trends in operations management.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to work effectively with senior executives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and drive process improvements.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to build, foster, and manage key relationships.
- Able to build networks across multi-layered organisations.
- Educated to degree level.
- Programme/Project Training beneficial.
