General Manager
General Manager - Double Knot Miami
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic General Manager to lead Double Knot Miami , our high‑volume, full‑service, upscale Japanese concept in the heart of South Florida. This role oversees the entire operation, driving excellence in hospitality, financial performance, team leadership, and guest experience. The General Manager serves as the senior on‑site leader, guiding all department managers and ensuring flawless execution across every facet of the business.
Role Overview:
Business & Financial Leadership
- Develop, manage, and optimize annual budgets, sales targets, and profitability goals.
- Oversee inventory systems, ordering processes, cost controls, and waste‑reduction initiatives.
- Produce and present financial reporting and performance insights to executive leadership.
People & Culture
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high‑performing front‑of‑house leadership team reflective of Miami’s elevated hospitality standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement ongoing development programs.
- Strategically manage labor planning, scheduling, and staffing to maintain service excellence and cost efficiency.
Operational Excellence
- Direct daily operations to ensure seamless service, elevated hospitality, and consistent brand standards.
- Uphold rigorous standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational discipline.
- Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements specific to Miami‑Dade County.
Hospitality & Guest Experience
- Champion a culture of genuine hospitality and proactive guest engagement.
- Address guest concerns with professionalism and care, ensuring memorable experiences for locals, travelers, and VIP clientele.
- Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain strict adherence to labor laws, alcohol service regulations, and food safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success as a General Manager in a full‑service, upscale or high‑volume restaurant environment.
- Exceptional leadership presence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ability to remain composed, solutions‑oriented, and professional under pressure.
- Familiarity with modern restaurant management platforms (e.g., Resy, Toast).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field.
- Experience in Miami’s luxury dining, nightlife‑adjacent, or high‑volume hospitality landscape.
- Current food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe).
