Huntsman 30A is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to help lead one of the Emerald Coast's most exciting chef-driven restaurants. This is more than a sous chef position—it's an opportunity to become the right hand to the Executive Chef, helping build a culture centered around exceptional food, disciplined execution, and genuine hospitality.

What You'll Do

As Executive Sous Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the kitchen, ensuring every service meets Huntsman's high standards.

Leadership

• Lead and motivate the culinary team through every shift.
• Coach, train, and develop line cooks and prep cooks.
• Hold the kitchen accountable for consistency, cleanliness, and professionalism.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture.
• Step into the Executive Chef's role when needed.

Culinary Execution

• Execute all menu items with precision and consistency.
• Maintain recipe, plating, and quality standards.
• Assist with menu development, recipe testing, and seasonal features.
• Ensure every dish leaving the kitchen reflects Huntsman's standards.

Kitchen Operations

• Manage daily prep production and service execution.
• Assist with scheduling and labor management.
• Oversee ordering, inventory, and food cost control.
• Monitor product quality and minimize waste.
• Maintain organized walk-ins, prep areas, and storage.

Food Safety

• Ensure strict compliance with HACCP and health department regulations.
• Maintain exceptional sanitation standards.
• Oversee proper labeling, dating, storage, and product rotation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience.
• Previous Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef experience preferred.
• Strong scratch cooking background.
• Experience in high-volume, chef-driven restaurants.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls.
• Meat and fish fabrication experience preferred.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.
