Warehouse Worker

The Parts Scrapping Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient destruction and disposal of aircraft components and materials. This position involves operating a sit-down forklift and using tools such as bolt cutters and crowbars to dismantle parts and open large wooden crates. The role is vital in ensuring that old parts are destroyed so they cannot be reused.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.
• Scrap metal plates and dismantle aircraft parts.
• Use hand and power tools, including bolt cutters and crowbars, to open and destroy old parts and crates.
• Ensure safe disposal of aircraft components and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Experience driving a sit-down forklift.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as opening large wooden crates.

• Experience in aviation or general labor is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Work Environment

The work environment is a climate-controlled warehouse with a fully air-conditioned setting. The role follows a Monday to Friday schedule, from 10 am to 6:30 pm. The dress code includes jeans or khaki pants, a plain t-shirt, and black closed-toe shoes. After the first week, uniforms are provided free of charge.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BOCA RATON, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
