• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.

  * Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.

  * Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.

  * Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

  * Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.

  * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

  * Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).

  * Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

  * Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

  * Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.

  * Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.

  * Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  · Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 
  · Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  · American Heart Association ACLS certification upon hire
  · NIHSS stroke certification within 30 days of hire and renewed annually/per policy.
  · Stroke education of 4 hours to be completed within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
  · Current Florida state Registered Nurse licensure

  Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2 years Critical Care/ICU experience preferred but not required

  • CCRN Certification preferred but not required

  • FCCS Certification preferred but not required

  • BSN preferred but not required
