Position Summary:
As a Content Strategist, you will play a crucial role in creating and executing content strategies for our esteemed clients. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around crafting clear, compelling copy for diverse mediums, including websites, blogs, email campaigns, social media, press releases, and more. Your expertise in content marketing and social media will be the driving force behind engaging campaigns that build brands and drive business growth.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive content strategies aligned with clients’ marketing goals, target audience, and brand identity. Collaborate with the marketing team and clients to understand their objectives and craft content plans that drive engagement, traffic, and conversions.
- Content Research, Ideation and Planning: Brainstorm and generate creative content ideas that resonate with the target audience. Plan content calendars and editorials schedules to ensure a consistent and timely flow of content across various platforms..
- Copywriting and Content Creation: Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels. Ensure all content is compelling, informative, and optimized for SEO..
- Copyediting and Proofreading: Review and edit blogs, social media posts, website copy, emails, and other content materials for accuracy, grammar, style, and consistency. Thoroughly proofread content to identify and correct any spelling or typographical errors. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a professional tone..
- Assist in Content Publishing: Provide support in the content publishing process, including content scheduling, formatting, and ensuring proper tags and metadata for optimal visibility..
- Audience Research: Conduct in-depth research on target audiences, their preferences, and behavior to inform content strategies and ensure content speaks directly to their needs and interests..
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor content strategies to identify gaps, opportunities, and industry trends. Utilize insights to enhance the agency’s content approach..
- SEO integration: Collaborate with SEO specialists to incorporate relevant keywords and optimize content for search engines, ensuring maximum visibility and organic traffic..
- Content Governance: Establish content guidelines, brand voice, and tone to maintain consistency across all communication channels. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and brand standards..
- Content Collaboration: Collaborate with designers and other team members to create visually appealing and interactive content experiences..
- Content Optimization: Regularly audit and optimize existing content to ensure it remains relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with evolving marketing strategies..
- Attend Client Meetings: Participate in client meetings to discuss all facets of their content marketing campaigns, gather feedback, and collaborate on content strategies based on their input..
- Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Continuously stay updated on content marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality.
- Communication Skills – Ability to express ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Research Skills – Ability to conduct systematic investigations, gather relevant information, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions to develop effective digital marketing strategies.
- Self-motivated, detailed oriented, and ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines effectively and multitask.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of various social media platforms.
- Ability to problem solve and identify trends and extract insights from analytics and data.
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge and understanding of SEO techniques.
- Knowledge of WordPress including basic understanding of HTML/HTML5 and CSS.
- Knowledge of Google applications such as Google Ads, Google My Business and Analytics.
Work Experience & Education:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in digital copywriting, and content marketing within an Agency setting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Communication, or related field
