Omega Assistant Manager
:
Job Objective
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting in the management of general showroom functions, with a primary focus on providing excellent client service, cultivating a professional and pleasant environment for all staff members, setting standards for each associate for which he/she is accountable and working closely with others on the management team.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed goals through sales strategies, clientele, sourcing new customers and maintaining and building productive long-term relationships with existing customers
- Stay current with market competition, industry, watch trends and customer shopping behaviors
- Demonstrate strong business acumen; strategically forecast, plan and budget to the needs of the business (i.e., payroll, staffing, etc.)
- Manage daily operational tasks according to SW standards including selling and service
- Serve as a leader within the building in support of the showroom Manager
- Support an environment of teamwork, trust and collaboration with peers, customers, and supervisors
- Develop product knowledge skills and remain aware of current collections that are in-showroom and on- line, cascade and train information to the broader team
- Foster a showroom environment that delivers renowned and authentic service to create a luxury customer experience
- Evaluate performance of all team members and provide consistent coaching where service and selling are top priorities; create and modify action plans for the continuous development of staff
Working Conditions and Environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Experience
- At least 2 years of retail service experience required, preferably luxury retail environment
- Luxury retail and/or jewelry experience is preferred
Skills
- Current knowledge of watch trends and competition in the marketplace
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience using retail systems (i.e., labor management, inventory systems, sales reporting, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team (both oral and written)
- Highly numerate with ability to understand and analyze sales performance
- Leading, mentoring, and coaching members of a high performing showroom
- Proven track record of management achievements
- Jewelry or watch product knowledge
- Advanced selling skills and negotiation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong selling skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel a must
Physical Requirements
- May be required, occasionally, to work exceptionally, long hours
- May be required to lift packages / boxes
- May be required to stand up for long periods of time
