Senior Full Stack Engineer - Healthcare Technology

Position Overview

The organization is seeking an exceptional Full Stack Engineer to join a healthcare technology team developing deep tech solutions that transform Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) in the healthcare industry. This position requires expertise across the entire technology stack—from modern frontend frameworks to backend services in Node.js and Python—combined with rapid execution capabilities, deep technical expertise in complex systems, and the ability to architect highly scalable solutions for mission-critical healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable, production-grade healthcare applications across the full stack.
• Develop robust backend services.
• Build modern, responsive frontend interfaces.
• Integrate complex healthcare APIs and RCM systems for billing, claims processing, and revenue operations.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions.
• Provide end-to-end ownership of features from technical design through deployment and monitoring.
• Make critical architectural decisions impacting scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Execute rapidly while maintaining high code quality and system reliability standards.

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and microservices patterns.
• Experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask) for backend services.
• Experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency in building and integrating microservices across multiple language ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) including query optimization and schema design.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and understanding when to use SQL vs NoSQL.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with build tools and module bundlers.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated ability to design systems handling millions of transactions.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching strategies, and performance optimization.
• Experience with high-availability architecture patterns and disaster recovery planning.
• Expertise in security best practices, particularly within healthcare contexts.
• Hands-on experience integrating with healthcare APIs (HL7, FHIR, X12 EDI).
• Understanding of RCM workflows: claims submission, adjudication, payment posting, denials management.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, security best practices).

Preferred Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Three or more years of production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Demonstrated experience building modern frontend applications with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Two or more years working with healthcare APIs or Revenue Cycle Management systems.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling applications on AWS infrastructure.
• Proven track record of delivering production software systems across the full stack.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments.
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming architectures.
