Role Overview
The Inside Sales Representative will drive new business development and account growth through proactive outreach, consultative selling and excellent customer service. This role focuses on qualifying leads, managing inbound enquiries, preparing customised proposals and working closely with our operations and design teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this is an individual contributor role with clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Management: Qualify and nurture inbound leads and proactively identify new prospects via phone, email and social channels.
Consultative Selling: Understand client needs, recommend appropriate promotional products and solutions, and articulate value propositions clearly.
Quoting and Proposal Preparation: Prepare accurate quotes, proposals and product mock-ups; manage pricing, lead times and minimum order requirements.
Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, follow up on orders, and identify opportunities for upsell and repeat business.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design, production and fulfilment teams to ensure specifications are met and orders are delivered on time.
CRM and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM, track sales activities, and produce regular pipeline and forecast reports.
Market Awareness: Stay informed about product trends, supplier capabilities and competitive activity to inform selling strategies.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in inside sales, account management or customer-facing commercial roles (2+ years preferred).
Experience in promotional products, branded merchandise, print or fulfilment industries is desirable but not essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
High level of attention to detail, especially when preparing quotes and managing order specifications.
Comfortable working to targets and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Customer-focused, solution-oriented and able to collaborate effectively across teams.
