Receivables Collection Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Receivables Collections Specialist to join our finance team on a fixed-term basis for 6 to 9 months . You will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable. You'll work cross-functionally to minimize overdue balances while maintaining strong, professional communication with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding overdue invoices
- Review and act on accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection efforts accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer communications
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and internal teams to resolve payment issues
- Process incoming credit card payments
- Support teammates with investigations and resolving billing discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal standards
Education & Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable collections
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven success in collections or similar role
- Familiarity with billing systems and collection strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
- Goal-oriented with a calm and persistent approach
- Strong communication skills across multiple channels
