Data Scientist

Role Summary:

As a Data Scientist at Citadel Securities, you will play a crucial role in analyzing complex datasets to extract valuable insights, build predictive models, and inform strategic business decisions. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, quantitative researchers, and business stakeholders.

Objectives:

1. Data Exploration and Visualization: Conduct thorough data analysis and create visualizations to understand data patterns and trends.
2. Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement machine learning models to predict outcomes and optimize business processes.
3. Experimentation: Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance.
4. Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Skills and Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full-time experience in a fast-paced financial or similar setting.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python and R, with experience using libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, and TensorFlow.
• Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Tableau for creating compelling visualizations.
• Statistical Analysis: Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in data analysis.
• SQL: Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP.
• Familiarity with big data tools like Spark and Kafka.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline design.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
