Your ability to turn data into actionable insights will play a critical role in optimizing our operations and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting for Ocean Investors Group’s restaurants and distribution companies.


• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for individual entities and consolidated reporting.


• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.


• Collaborate with operations teams to track key performance metrics, such as food costs, labor efficiency, and logistics profitability.


• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization and growth.


• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.


• Strengthen internal controls and streamline financial processes.


• Oversee payroll and provide financial guidance to operational managers.


• Lead a small team of financial staff, providing mentorship and direction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior accountant, ideally in the restaurant or distribution industries.


• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Restaurant365, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.


• Solid understanding of GAAP and multi-entity financial reporting.


• Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization.


• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Strong leadership and communication abilities.


• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
