GuideWell Emergency Doctor Clinics are free-standing outpatient emergency care facilities providing convenient, unscheduled medical care outside of the traditional hospital-based Emergency Room.

Staffed by Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and experienced Advanced Practice Providers , our clinics deliver care that meets or exceeds American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) evidence-based clinical guidelines . Our efficient, physician-led model reduces unnecessary ER visits and hospital admissions while delivering high-quality, cost-effective care.

Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) functions independently in a fast-paced emergency/urgent care environment , providing high-quality medical care to patients of all ages presenting with mild to moderate medical complaints .

This role offers a strong work-life balance with day shifts only , no overnight work , and a predictable weekday schedule , with rotational weekend coverage limited to daytime hours .

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
• Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan
• Interpret diagnostic studies including labs, imaging, and EKGs
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Perform minor procedures (I&D, non-complex suturing, pelvic exams)
• Arrange appropriate follow-up care within the facility or with specialists
• Review and manage results from external diagnostic centers
• Maintain door-to-provider times under 30 minutes
• Support facility performance metrics (Door-to-Antibiotic, Troponin TAT, Door-to-EKG)
• Utilize Pathfinder technology for appropriate patient referrals
• Apply clinical protocols and critical thinking to avoid unnecessary admissions
• Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary team members
• Support the Facility Leader (FL) and Medical Director (MD) as a collaborative team member
• Complete accurate documentation within 24 hours of shift completion
• Participate in required education and compliance training (OSHA, HIPAA, Joint Commission)
• Adhere to information security and privacy standards

Required Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Department experience (required)
• Active, unrestricted state Nurse Practitioner license
• Active DEA registration
• ACLS and PALS certification (required)
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentialing
• Ability to work up to 12-hour day shifts
• Successful completion of Level II background check and drug screening

Note: Advanced Practice Providers currently employed by or affiliated with medical marijuana clinics are ineligible for hire. Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work for up to 10-hour weekday shifts and 7-hour weekend shifts
• Ability to perform physical duties in a busy clinical environment (standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling)
