Assembler
This role supports the construction and wiring of electrical control panels by assisting the panel building team with component preparation, material organization, and basic assembly tasks. The Panel Builder Assembly Helper contributes to timely and accurate production by following work instructions, using hand and power tools safely, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities- Assist in the construction and wiring of electrical control panels under the guidance of experienced panel builders.
- Prepare components and materials for assembly, including organizing parts, tools, and hardware to support efficient workflow.
- Perform basic mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools while following safety and quality standards.
- Support panel wiring activities by routing and securing wires, cable harnesses, and components as directed.
- Read and interpret simple schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in assembly.
- Inspect work for accuracy, proper wiring, and correct component placement, and promptly report any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors to coordinate tasks and resolve problems.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, accept feedback, and take direction to grow within the role.
- Assembly experience with mechanical or electrical components.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to use basic power tools for mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
- Basic understanding of electrical components and electrical wiring practices.
- Ability to read and interpret simple diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Mechanical aptitude and being mechanically inclined for panel and mechanical assembly work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise wiring and component placement.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members.
- Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate in a production environment.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and adapt to new tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training in electrical or mechanical fields is a plus.
- Experience with panel wiring and panel building is beneficial.
- Familiarity with production environments and meeting production timelines.
- Experience working with wiring harnesses and cable routing is an advantage.

Work EnvironmentThis position follows a regular daytime schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work takes place in an air-conditioned, indoor production environment designed for comfort and consistency. You will use a variety of hand tools and power tools while working at assembly benches and production areas. The facility emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and safety, providing a structured setting for focused assembly and wiring work.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pompano Beach, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
