Vaco is recruiting for a Customer Account Specialist in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a contract to hire opportunity dependent on candidate performance that offers a hybrid work environment.

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Account Specialist to support end-to-end supply chain and order-to-cash activities for B2B customer accounts. This role is responsible for processing and tracking orders, managing customer inquiries, maintaining account data, and working cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a high level of service and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, order management experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts and support the onboarding of new accounts
• Process customer orders accurately and manage order changes, inquiries, and follow-up activity
• Maintain customer master data and ensure account information is current and accurate
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers through email, portals, CRM tools, and ERP systems
• Monitor order flow across multiple systems and track orders through completion
• Review daily reports and dashboards to ensure order accuracy and reduce processing errors
• Partner cross-functionally with logistics, sales, planning, operations, and finance teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help streamline workflows
• Build strong customer relationships and provide responsive, professional support
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and ethical business practices

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, logistics, inside sales, or a related function
• Experience supporting customer inquiries and order management in a B2B environment
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, along with CRM tools and customer portals, preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Knowledge of Incoterms and freight terminology preferred
• Import/export experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Export operations training is a plus
