Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service a variety of landscaping equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all machinery operates efficiently. This role is essential for keeping our landscaping operations running smoothly and minimizing equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair landscape equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, small engines and fleet maintenance
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, belt inspections, and blade sharpening.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues on various equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles such as trucks and trailers, ensuring they are in safe operating condition.
• Keep accurate maintenance records for all equipment and schedule regular servicing.
• Order and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring necessary supplies are on hand.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Provide training to field staff on proper equipment use and basic maintenance.
• Assist in emergency repairs to minimize downtime during landscaping operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in landscaping, construction, or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of small engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various landscape equipment and vehicles.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in outdoor conditions when necessary.
