We're looking for a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our vibrant team at Spice n Vybe, where bold Afro-Caribbean flavors, warm hospitality, and good vibes come together. You'll be the first smile our guests see and a key part of creating the warm, culturally-rich experience we're known for. What You'll Do:
- Greet every guest with a smile and make them feel like family from the moment they walk in
- Process transactions accurately using our POS system, handling cash, card, and digital payments with precision
- Answer menu questions, explain dishes, and suggest pairings..
- Package and serve orders with care and attention to presentation
- Upsell menu items and share what makes our food special
- Participate in product promotions and initiatives to help drive sales
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and with grace
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front-of-house area
- Track daily transactions and report any discrepancies
- Follow all food safety protocols and support the team during high-volume periods
- Previous cashier or customer service experience (restaurant experience is a plus!)
- Comfortable with POS systems and basic tech
- Strong math and money-handling skills
- Excellent communication and a genuine love for people
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately during busy service periods
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Interest in or appreciation for Caribbean and West African culture and cuisine is a bonus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
