Accountant
GRUBBRR is looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee general accounting operations This Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of the day-day activities of the accounting department and not limited to accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and assist in the month-end close procedures. Must have excellent analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts in our fast-paced FinTech startup. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing and processing the monthly billing to customers and interacting with Customer Support to address any billing issued or customer concerns.
- Update and maintain revenue tracking reports and prepare monthly and annual recurring revenue reports.
- Process daily accounting functions including invoicing, vendors payments, expense reimbursements and ACH payments.
- Reconcile inventory monthly and update inventory tracking reports.
- Recording monthly reconciliation on revenues, expenses, and intercompany activity.
- Prepare monthly commission reports for sales representatives based on compensation plans and performance.
- Participate in the month end close process which includes preparation of month end journal entries, account reconciliations, special reporting and researching unusual items.
- Prepare ad hoc requests and participate in special projects. Manage and reconcile income and expenditure accounts, reconcile the company’s bank and credit card statements.
- Participate in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with quarterly compliance reports.
- Participate in annual audits, including preparing/providing account information and answering auditors’ questions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar related field.
- Experience in SaaS Revenue Recognition Rules and SaaS industry experience.
- Disciplined to follow defined processes, yet creative to recommend/build new, scalable approaches.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of accounting with the ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory reporting requirements (as needed).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Polished verbal and written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate clearly.
- 5-7 years professional accounting experience.
- Quick Books / NetSuite experience preferred.
