Under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Terminal Operations, the Resource Systems Manager serves as a key technical expert at Tampa International Airport and is responsible for coordinating airline gate planning and parking arrangements to optimize airport operations. This role involves collaborating closely with airlines, airport staff, and various stakeholders to ensure efficient gate assignments and parking strategies that align with operational needs and passenger flow. In addition, the Resource Systems Manager provides technical advice and project management for the preparation of ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring that all developments are integrated into airport operations effectively. This position is critical in maintaining the seamless operation of the airport, enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers, and fostering collaboration between airlines, ground operations, and airport leadership to support the airport's strategic growth initiatives
This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of our 24/7 operations. Requires availability for emergency call-in.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serves as a key technical expert at Tampa International Airport, responsible for coordinating airline gate planning and parking arrangements to optimize airport operations.
- Collaborates closely with airlines, airport staff, and various stakeholders to ensure efficient gate assignments and parking strategies that align with operational needs and passenger flow.
- Provides technical advice and project management for the preparation of ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring that all developments are effectively integrated into airport operations.
- A critical aspect of this position includes coordinating construction activities within the airport environment. The Resource Systems Manager is responsible for approving Maintenance Construction Notifications (MCNs) and ensuring that all construction activities are well-coordinated to minimize disruptions to airport operations. This involves reviewing construction plans, assessing potential impacts, and collaborating with contractors and airport teams to develop strategies that maintain safety and efficiency throughout the construction process.
- Review flight schedules to identify potential conflicts and work proactively to identify options to minimize impacts on the airlines. This includes assessing gate utilization trends, evaluating capacity, and considering the relocation of flights when necessary to optimize operations.
- Acts as a liaison between various departments such as Real Estate, IT, and Air Service Development, facilitating communication and collaboration to address operational challenges and support strategic initiatives.
- Acts as the Airport Duty Manager (ADM) in the absence of the ADM on duty or at the direction of Operations leadership.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of the position.

REQUIRED FOR ALL HCAA JOBS
- In the event of an emergency or disaster that impacts the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority (HCAA), an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department or the HCAA Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Such assignments may be before, during, or after the emergency/disaster.
- Complies with all HCAA Policies, Procedures, and Standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Airport Operations, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in airport operations, construction, and/or airport common use systems experience at a medium to large airport or similar experience
- Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience as an Airport Operations Manager or Specialist
- Proficient in Airport / Airline Resource Management Systems and Gate allocation software.
