We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team in Miramar, Florida. This is a contract position within the transport industry, ideal for professionals who excel at analyzing financial data and resolving payment discrepancies. The role offers an opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and customers while managing high volumes of accounts receivable data.
Responsibilities:• Assess large datasets related to accounts receivable to detect inconsistencies between payments and invoice amounts.
• Classify payment variances into categories such as pricing errors, quantity discrepancies, or unapplied amounts.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to address unresolved issues and ensure timely collections.
• Document adjustments and follow-up actions accurately in financial systems to maintain comprehensive records.
• Utilize analytical tools, including Excel, to perform data reconciliations and generate reports.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify discrepancies and propose solutions.
• Monitor cash application processes to ensure proper alignment with billing functions.
• Leverage knowledge of SAP and other financial systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Contribute to critical analysis and decision-making for improving accounts receivable processes.
• Support adherence to deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in all financial activities.• Proficiency in accounts receivable processes, including collections and cash applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP for data analysis.
• Experience managing high-volume AR in commercial or retail environments.
• Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex payment variances.
• Ability to work independently under strict deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar financial systems for processing and reconciliation.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Previous exposure to big-box retail accounts, such as chain stores or large commercial clients, is a plus.
