The Kitchen Lead is responsible for assisting the Managing Chef in maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service for both our customers and team members. The Kitchen Lead assists in training, product knowledge and education, encouraging safe work practices, and a demonstrated commitment to our company policies. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.

Job Responsibilities:
Supervises kitchen operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with goals, objectives, and policies.
Provides direction and structure for hourly Team Members based off Managing Chef's guidelines.
Ensures all food is consistently prepared and served according to the brand's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
Assists in ordering food products and restaurant supplies according to daily rate of sale, predetermined product specifications, and from approved suppliers.
Ensures all food is received in correct unit count and condition, and deliveries are received in accordance with the restaurant's receiving policies and procedures.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work-station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
Handles, stores, labels, and rotates all products properly.
Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen station. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all local, state, and federal safety laws as well as Company safety policies.
Understand safe food and equipment handling.
Ensure all dishes, cookware, equipment, and supplies are clean, sanitized, and organized.
Complete set-ups, side work, and/or closing duties assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be ServSafe® Food Manager Certified
Must be a high performing Team Member who has a history of leading by example.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to cope with pressure and work under pressure
Must be able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Must be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks (up to 40 pounds) many times per shift.
Must have reliable transportation.
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; training from a culinary school will be an asset.

Salary: $ 16.00 18.00 Per Hour
