Morning Prep Cook

Overview:

The Prep Cook will assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in our kitchen. The Prep Cook will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing ingredients, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and orderly cooking station. This position reports directly to the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning for use in recipes
• Assist in cooking and preparing various food items under the supervision of the Chef
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards
• Help with inventory management and stock rotation
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry or similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of culinary terminology and techniques
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent is a plus If you have a passion for food preparation and want to be part of a dynamic culinary team

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height and push or pull 160 lbs.
• Must be able to work on your feet for 10 hours
