Position Details

• Location: Surfside Outpatient Center 2441 Surfside Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33914

• Department: LPG Primary Care Surfside

• Schedule: Full Time (Monday-Friday) Early/late hours, weekends, and holidays may occasionally be required.

• Shift: Between 7:00 AM 6:00 PM

• Pay Range: $21.54 $25.31/hour (Minimum to Midpoint)

• Location: Cape Coral, Florida

What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, youll play an important role in creating an exceptional patient experience and keeping our practice running smoothly. Working alongside physicians and advanced practice providers, youll help deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care.

Your day may include:

• Performing phlebotomy and point-of-care testing

• Assisting with minor procedures

• Preparing patients and exam rooms

• Processing laboratory specimens

• Administering medications under appropriate supervision

• Providing patient instructions and education

• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

• Coordinating prescription and information requests

• Safely operating medical equipment

• Supporting a collaborative, patient-focused team

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred:

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification

• Medical Assistant experience

Experience:

• Medical Assistant experience is preferred.

• Graduates within two years of completing an accredited Medical Assisting program may be considered without prior experience.

• One year of Medical Assistant experience in a physicians office or hospital outpatient department may be accepted in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program.

Certification:

• BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required within the first 90 days of hire.

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Medical terminology

• Strong communication skills

• Basic computer skills

• Commitment to excellent patient care
