Accounts Payable Clerk

Who We Are:
South County Mental Health Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit Joint Commission Accredited Behavioral Healthcare provider located in Southeast Palm Beach County, Florida, situated in the nationally designated All-American Seaside City of Delray Beach. The Center provides a broad spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care to clients and their families in surrounding communities.

PURPOSE
To record cash receipts accurately for the entire Center and to maintain the balances for Client trust through diligence and effective communication

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain client balance integrity through ensuring proper posting of receipts, disbursements through detailed analysis and month end reconciliation. Specialists will also be responsible for posting all the Center’s non-client receipts as received from various sources. Specialist will also perform other tasks as assigned such as Bank reconciliation assistance and other account analysis outside of the Client Trust.

Maintain client balance integrity

· Deposit SSA and SSI ACH payments monthly to client’s account
· Process monthly client check exchange
· Enter client check request in system
· Process check request for clients
· Respond to Client trust inquiries
· Enter rent payments in Computer system
· File check copies, check requests, rents, and daily cash summaries

Check Processing-Client Trust & Cash receipts for entire Center

·Run checks on computer
·Post checks to general ledger
·Match checks with invoices
·Prepare checks for approvals and signing
·Disburse checks
·File check copies and invoices
· Process and post all receipts– cash, credit card, and ACH payments.

Payroll Backup

·Assist payroll manager in processing payroll
·Prepares payroll in the absence of payroll manager

Experience/skills

· 2 years of experience in AP maintaining accuracy of balances and online banking exposure
· Organization skills, and intermedia level of excel.

Education
·HS or equivalent
· Associates degree in business or related field preferred
