We are a rapidly growing small tax consulting firm located in Destin, Florida. We have a mission to serve others well and have fun while serving! Our clients represent various industries including construction, contractors, software development, restaurants and professional service firms. We also serve many individuals and businesses that are working to become tax compliant and resolve outstanding tax matters.

This position will be key in the preparation of tax returns, including gathering and reviewing data. For those clients with outstanding tax matters, this position will assist with answering notices and gathering transcripts.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Prepare business, and individual tax returns in accordance with firm and regulatory standards.

· Research, resolve, and respond to tax notices.

· Research and document tax positions.

· Prepare engagement letters.

· Prepare information requests and organizers.

· Maintain tax workpapers.

Qualifications

· A minimum of 3 years tax preparation experience, including Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S and 1040.

· Experience with tax preparation software, Drake Tax software preferred.

· Experience working with QuickBooks.

· Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Experience resolving IRS and state tax notices a plus, but not required.

· Capable of working with minimal oversight without daily task direction.

· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

· Ability to multitask effectively with competing deadlines.
