Journeyman Foundation & Form Carpenters

We are looking for a detail-oriented journeyman carpenter to work on a variety of construction projects. As a journeyman carpenter, you will be responsible for the safe construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures. You will also be required to design and install wooden fixtures, furniture, and similar elements.

To ensure success as a journeyman carpenter, you should be able to interpret architectural blueprints and ensure the safety and quality of the final product. Ultimately, a top-notch journeyman carpenter should show exceptional attention to detail and have excellent analytical thinking abilities.

Education and Training
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 3 to 6 years carpeter experience as a joureyman
• Must have NWSA certification
• Must provide current certification as required, is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
• If applicable, the ability to maintain FDOT logbooks - training will be provided
• Demonstrate expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge
• Job related certifications - First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Wiltron, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR and Connector attachment
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions per prints
• Must be able to read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings and SOW
• Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations
• Must be fit and in good physical condition
• Must be able to pick up 50 lbs., and capable of working up to 12 hours
• Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
• Organizational, communication skills

Working Conditions
• Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary
• Must have the ability and be willing to travel extensively, as required for job related functions
• Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands
