Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of a 3-person warehouse team and inventory management. They will be responsible for communicating the daily schedule to the team and ensure safety of the warehouse team. They will be responsible for verifying shipping documents match inbound and outbound freight. Excellent computer skills are required as they will be responsible data entry into SAP for inventory management. The Lead will be responsible for cycle counts and ensure team coordination during inventory days.

Major Job Functions:

This description is general in nature – the duties listed include – but are not inclusive of:

• Read Shipping Schedule and monitor/lead SAP data entry and become a SME on SAP.
• Operate Forklift in a safe manner. Train operators on Loading and unloading materials/products onto or from trucks using forklift, hand truck and/or electric pallet jack, as appropriate in safe manner.
• Picks Orders and building Pallets. Efficiently stocks warehouse using proper stock rotation process for ERP Picks. First in-First out.
• Reads sales orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain product/materials or containers to be moved, gathered or distributed/and shipped. Prints picks for pickers and BOLs as needed.
• Checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders and storing in correct location.
• Outbound deliveries, loads products/materials into trucks in such a way to prevent shifting or damaging of product/materials in transit, adding bulk heads for mix loads & Placing pallets for best load weights on trailer.
• Sorts, and/or Conveys products/materials from storage sites to designated loading areas.
• Counts and records breakage and spoilage.
• Verify Labels and identifies material/ product for designated sales orders.
• Monitor housekeeping and grounds maintenance in warehouse areas.
• Trains team members on all aspects of the shipping/receiving jobs including safety, GMPs, equipment and procedures.
• Oversee Counting physical inventory during cycle counts and End of the month.
• Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time. This position is a day shift position. The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion is required.

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Ability to multitask in fast paced warehouse and office environments.
• Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
• Bilingual helpful.
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
• Organized – Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task. Ability to effectively organize own schedule to ensure timely completion of all projects within the scheduled time-frames.
• Accurate – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Detail-oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
• Customer oriented – Ability to take care of the customers needs while following company procedures. Ability to interact with customers and drivers in a professional and effective manner.
• 5 years experience in a Shipping & Receiving role.
