Tipped Weekend Line Cook

The Cool Moose Cafe is seeking skilled & disciplined weekend cooks to join our kitchen team. We’re not looking for hobbyists or side-hustlers who tap out when things get busy-we need someone sharp, dependable, and fully committed to showing up every weekend ready to perform. You’ll need to learn the menu quickly, read tickets accurately, maintain constant communication with teammates and take pride in the details of every plate we send out.

Here is what sets this opportunity apart: we’re rolling out a restaurant wide tip pool system-weekend shifts included-meaning your earning potential is no longer capped by a flat hourly rate.

You’ll share in the success of the entire front and back of the house, making this a high reward position for the right person. Responsibilities include:

• Previous experience as a line cook in a fast-paced breakfast or lunch setting is a MUST.
• Ability to read and break down order tickets & prioritize cooking order.
• Embrace a collaborative team environment where every one is talking professionally for fast ticket times!.
• Mastery of menu knowledge & all of its components in a timely manner.
• Awareness of any food allergy that may correspond to any given menu item.
• Ensuring all orders are filled very quickly and accurately and that food is high quality presenting well.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Accelerate durning the slower times so as to cruise during the fast times. Means: do not let up.
• Performing continual and end of day cleaning duties to ensure organization & cleanliness.
• Ability to maintain control and even pace during increased periods of pressure.
• You are working weekends where big money is the rule of thumb.
• Serve Safe certified or understanding you must earn one.
