Position Overview

As a member of the Bellstaff team, you are a key member of the Cabot Citrus Farms team and will be instrumental in building on Cabot’s legacy of world-leading golf destinations. As a Bellman, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding guest service from the moment guests arrive until their departure, serving as an extension to the Front Desk Team. You will be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, tagging and storing guests personal luggage and belongings, tracking and delivering luggage, providing information about the resort and surrounding area, and ensuring that all requests are handled promptly and professionally.

The Front Desk team plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational flow of every stay and ensures every guest experience and is handled with professionalism and warmth. The Bellstaff are the very first impression of the resort and embody Cabot’s values and positively represent the Cabot brand, helping to set team expectations for the resort’s high standard and acting as an ambassador and role model of exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the best first impression of the hotel for all guests and visitors by treating all individuals in a warm, professional, and respectful manner.

  • Transport guest luggage from the point of arrival at the hotel to their assigned room.
  • Responsible for tagging/storing guest luggage for guest rooms not available at time of check-in and warmly communicate process for luggage delivery.
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
  • Serve an extension of the Front Desk team, assisting them with the check-in and check out process for each guest.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of resort directions and area offerings, hours of operations, including the ability to make recommendations and dynamic suggestions for guests.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external guests, as well as other departments.
  • Communicate or deliver on any parking procedures to guests/visitors
  • Address and resolve guest service issues in a positive manner.
  • Preserve the privacy and confidentiality of our guest information while serving guests on site and preparing for upcoming stays.
  • Answer questions concerning reservations for employees of other departments including but not limited to Front Office, Sales & Marketing, Golf Operations, and Executive Office
  • Must be available to work a varied schedule as needed based on occupancy levels and department demands, including AM shifts, PM shifts, and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent working experience required.
  • Strong ability to multitask and complete multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • At least 1 year of Hospitality related experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Takes a proactive approach towards decision-making and resolving challenges.
  • Takes initiative and makes suggestions to solve problems.

  • Complete knowledge of resort offerings, hotel rooms, and meeting-related services available to guests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests, exercising patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion, especially with high-profile individuals.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing other duties.
  • Ability to work long hours sitting or standing at a desk in an office setting.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move luggage and objects up to 50 lbs.
