The Role

Location: United States West Coast, with regular travel to client sites

Employment Type: Full-time

Our delivery model runs on pods. A pod is a small, cross-functional team of three: Pod Lead, Solutions Architect, and Implementation Specialist. Together, a pod defines, designs, configures and implements AI wedges for clients on our platform.

You will lead one. That means you own the delivery, the client relationship, and the commercial health of every engagement your pod touches. This is not an engineering management role. It is a delivery leadership role that demands commercial acumen, client consulting skills, and hands-on engineering experience in equal measure.

You are the person clients call when it matters. You are the person the team looks to for direction. You set the pace, hold the quality bar, and make sure what ships actually works.

We are not looking for someone who has led an AI transformation. We are looking for a curious, high-agency thinker with an engineering backbone and a commercial edge who can think creatively, work closely with clients, and get things done.

What you will do

• Wedge delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI wedge engagements for clients. Configure and deploy agent workflows in production with client teams. Own the 90-day delivery cycle from Day 10 metrics lock through to outcome confirmation.
• Pod leadership: Build and lead a small cross-functional pod (Pod Lead, Solutions Architect, Implementation Specialist). Set the pace, maintain quality standards, and ensure pods operate as high-performing, self-sufficient units.
• Client engagement: Act as the primary delivery point of contact for clients in your pod. Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders. Translate client outcomes into agent configurations.
• AI-native delivery: Experiment with AI tools daily. Document what works. Build repeatable delivery playbooks that others can follow as the organisation scales.
• Playbook development: Codify delivery patterns, wedge configurations, and lessons learned. Contribute to the platform's growing pattern library.
• Team coaching and quality bar: Raise the standard on communication, ownership, and execution across the pod model, helping others operate with speed, clarity, and care.

What you bring:

• 7+ years across engineering, delivery, consulting, or technical leadership roles
• Generalist with a variety of skills and experience: you thrive in a role where you can combine your commercial, technical, finance, project management, consulting and sales abilities
• Hands-on experience building and shipping software or AI/ML solutions in production
• You have led small teams and owned delivery outcomes end-to-end. You know what good looks like
• Commercial awareness: you understand how delivery connects to revenue, margin, and client expansion
• Strong client instincts. You can run a room, earn trust, and translate business problems into technical solutions
• Enough technical depth to configure AI agent workflows, review architecture decisions, and debug production issues
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern AI/ML tooling
• High agency. You see what needs to happen and you do it. You do not wait to be told
• Builder mentality. You would rather ship something imperfect than plan something perfect
