We are currently seeking a results-driven Software Developer as a key technical contributor for our IT department. The Senior Software Developer will have a strong technical background in enterprise applications, systems integration, cloud platform, and have a track record of managing complex software development projects.  Reporting to the Senior Manager of Enterprise Application, this IT role requires effective people management skills, effective engagement with business users and the IT team to ensure business success in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute an application project strategy aligned with aviation standards.

  • Experience with key platforms: Quantum, Oracle DB, Oracle Apex, PowerBI, and Salesforce.

  • Perform coding, debugging, and testing across the application development process

  • Produce efficient and effective code based on business requirements

  • Observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products

  • Create technical documentation to guide future software development projects, system architecture and user guides as needed

  • Participate in team building events across the company

  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of aviation-specific technologies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 2-4 years of software development experience, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry.

  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, C#, JavaScript, Java, PL/SQL

  • Database applications: SQL Server, Oracle NoSQL

  • Client-side technology: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Web API

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Project management certification (PMP) and IT certifications are a plus

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
